This shakuhachi was used by John Singer on his two CD set
Koden Shakuhachi Honkyoku: Zen Music with Ancient Shakuhachi
It is shown on John's Shakuhachi Gallery page.

The flute and notes are in tune and the balance is good.
Exterior is black lacquer - done a long time ago.
