The Present

I retired from the Communication Department at the University of California, San Diego, in June 2012.

I still have some connections to the computing world. I have a small consulting business, working with people who use Macintosh computers. (Retirement means never having to fix a Windows PC again).

I maintain a web server at BJ's Hosting where my friends and I have websites.

In 2012 Lisa and I bought a house and I've spent more time that I expected getting it into shape.

We are still thinking about getting married, but, as we've been together for 23 years, there's no hurry.

We now have four Pekingese, with their own website: TinknZu.net.

In addition to my pursuit of the shakuhachi, I also participate in Schützen shooting, as well as target shooting with muzzleloading firearms, a hobby I pursued much of my life before I came to UCSD.
