Greetings and Hello from OZ. You will all be glad to know that our long
summer is coming to a close after 5 months of nearly no rain and almost
continuous 30c+ temps. Yes, the
folks in OZ got the El Nino too...We should be in for a fair, fine
autumn. I have begun to ride my bicycle again..its not much fun riding
when its 37c ?? (I havent
actually tried it....)

Anyway to the matter in hand. I am looking for some info on shakuhachi
duets. Not only
music but how it is written - if there are any "rules" in the "harmony"
or not. What
intervals should/should not be used and where. What harmony makes it
sound "Japanese".

Any info books/music title/publishers would be much appreciated. I read
western notation fluently (play flute and clarinet) and Chikuho
moderately and get by slowly on Kinko, but its a strain as it uses
similar symbols but for different notes. B-)

I am shortly going to upgrade my PC from a 386dx no CD ROM to pentiumm
200+ etc etc etc.
The old PC is groaning at netscape 3.0 and windoze 3.11 and the Hard
Drives are suffering from bloat and not enough room-I have total 0.5
Gigabytes...not enough...

When this is done I will be reworking my web pages in a big way and will
try to enlarge the shakuhachi page. Any contributions to this page or
req's for space/advertising are welcomed...its free folks! Contibutions
like photos -gif/jpg's welcome..watch copyright tho'

For now from the land of OZ...

BE HAPPY AND WELL!
