Dear Graham,

Bonsai and Shakuhachi both refer to the "sabi", of the expression
"wabi-sabi"...

They both stand for the Solitariness of the "one"..
The sound of one Shakuhachi....a bamboo forest..
The one Bonsai representing an entire Forest..

The rightiousness of being Solitary...
