My experience with improvisation is strictly limited to Native America
flutes. Peter Ross' comments really speak for my experience. All three of
my recordings were born in the moment in the recording studio. It is
thrilling for me when this happens. It's as if I'm not really playing the
flute at all, but merely serving as a conduit for bringing the music through.
 And what a joy to play on top of another sound -- a guitar, a keyboard, a
West African kora, a drum.

My improvisations are never planned;they just happen.
