Once upon a time, after one of his performances of honkyoku, I asked
Yokoyama Katsuya how he did. He replied, "Not so bad. The sound couldn't
be heard in all the right places".
He has also mentioned to me on several occasions that has hopes that someone
would make some new honkyoku and that this probably couldn't be done well by
a Japanese person. So, for all the improvisers out there, here is your
chance for immortality.
