"Emu" by Hideaki Kuribayashi

I have been given some western style sheet music for a contemporary
koto and shakuhachi piece called "Emu" by Hideaki Kuribayashi. I
think I can puzzle it out, but I'm not sure which size flute it was
intended for. I think I can make a case for either a 1.6 or a 1.8.
Does anyone here know for sure?
