Wow, I sympathize 100% ! When alone I can play enough to make me smile. In
front of my family I squeak away with much less success. In front of a
teacher or group I suppose I would be without sound totally <g>. Probably why
I play for relaxation and meditation.

I just found out yesterday Ronnie Nyogetsu Seldin gives lesson here in
Baltimore and I was invited to observe. I know I would need tons of practice
before I could dare join in, especially in a group setting. I guess this is
every beginners lament. I have ordered a playing guide so I can learn to
correct way to do things, a first for me. I have dabbled in music for years
but always self taught. This list has inspired to really learn.
