I often reply to postings privately off list without any problems (If I
don't think my two pence worth will be of general interest). I think
things are fine the way they are...for me I get more irritated by
getting the original text included in peoples replies. Todays digest
for example was 293KB and more than 70% of it was the same text I
received about 20 times...since this is a mailing list we have all
already received the original message the first time it was sent. It
gets worse when people reply to other peoples replies...

It only takes a split second (two clicks for me) to delete the original
message when replying (if you don't want to change you're mail send
preferences).

Also I seem to be receiving great chunks of illegible code since I
started taking the digest version...never happened before?

Best Regards,

Bill O'Connor.
