This is great Dan, I sat with Suzuki Roshi way back in '69 or so... and am
currently sitting with Katherine Thanas, an old student of his... I'm quite
interested in this "SUI (blowing) Zen" as a Zen practice.... and wish I
could find out more about the Komuso movement as a practical occurrence...
what the daily regimens were, how the schools were run and so forth...

I am interested in combining several of the Zen practices (zazen, tea
ceremony, shakuhachi, haiku writing) to make for a way of life... as we
begin to discover what it means to become an American Zen Buddhist...

Thanks Bud - the breeze is just fine - I too need to stop flapping my
arms. I love the little book by Shunryu Zuzuki called "Zen Mind, Beginner's
Mind". In it he quotes Dogen-zenji as saying "To study Buddhism is to study
ourselves. To study ourselves is to forget ourselves."
