Bruce,
How would I obtain a copy of the composition, Gekko Reibo?

Thanks,

Wayne

Subject: The Compositions of Yokoyama Rampo

Over the years, I have been gathering what compositions I can find
of Yokoyama Rampo. My teacher had a couple in his collection, I
have obtained three more from Furuya Teruo, with the assistance of
Tom Deaver, and Ron Nelson and I found one in the collection of the
Int'l Shakuhachi Society.

Here is a list of the compositions, in my collection, by Yokoyama
Rampo:

        Eirei ni Sasagu / Requiem
        Gekko Reibo / Moonlight Reverie
Jin no Shakuhachi / Shakuhachi in the Middle of the Camp
Kotobuki no Mai / Dance of Celebration
Shoun Dei / Beautiful Spring (w/Fukuda Rando)
        Yomichi / Night Road

I would like to know if anyone out there has any other scores by
Rampo. While I've heard it said that much of his composition work
was not particularly noteworthy, these pieces are all quite good and
a lot of fun to play. Given his long life and many talents, there
must be more works out there and I'm curious to see what else he may
have composed.

So that intersted parties can do comparison with items they may have
in their collections, I'm putting the title bar from each score
online at:

        http://shikan.org/Yokoyama_Rampo_Scores

If you have copies of scores not in the collection or know where such
might be obtained, please let me know.

Thanks!

bj

p.s. Scores collected here will become part of the permanent collection
of the International Shakuhachi Society.
