I'm a beginner too, of a few months. Find a note that you can play easily
(for me, it's ro in the low register). At the start of every session:-
play it ten times as softly as you can and as long as you can, keeping it as
even and constant as possible.
then play it ten times as loud as you can.
then ten times starting soft, swelling to loud, going back to soft.

Then for all the other notes you can manage, just play five soft and five
loud.

If a note squeaks and breaks too much when you're practicing, put the flute
down for a moment before trying again ... your angle and mouth position will
change.

What I aim at eventually, is playing a number of times for each note ...
soft, loud, varying, as meri as I can and as kari as I can.
