Fair enough. You know, I'm not sure if I ever ment to imply I
wanted to understand the shakuhachi per se. Probably I did. At any rate
if it makes you feel better just say I'm interested in bore shapes
and the sounds they produce an leave it at that. I was just inspired by
the shakuhachi because of the (reputed) importance of its (often
funky) bore shape.
