Can anyone PLEASE tell me the REAL skinny on Lacquer - like to use in =
the building of my new ni shaku san sun?
I cannot locate "brush on" urushi or lacquer (as opposed to spray on) =
ANYWHERE in the world other than Mejiro's in Tokyo, and one little place =
here in the States. And I've got four 2 oz bottles of "Lacquer Paint" =
from this latter company, sitting here on my desk in front of me. . . .
But how do I know it's lacquer? Because of the cheap label?
One knowledgeable dude told me lacquer is illegal in America now, and I =
know some shakuhachi makers are using an artificial lacquer on their =
shakuhachi.
