I have just been informed by my teacher, Ronnie Seldin, of the passing of
Roshi Kapleau. It is a very sad moment for me because his writings, The Three
Pillars of Zen, is the reason why I'm a Buddhist. It was his description of
Sesshin and the pupil teacher relationship that drew me to Zen.
The spark glows no more
His light will ever guide me
As I stumble on
Please play a piece to honor his passing.
