Greetings All,
Just to chip away at the wall a bit, I would like to add to the dicussion of
how one should best refer to this instrument we all share: here in Japan,
the shakuhachi is also referred to simply as 'take' pronounced tah-kay which
simply means bamboo. No disrespect. It's just easier to say especially
among those who are familiar with it.
the best to all and I do envy those of you who are able to attend the NYC
Shakuhachi festival. I am certainly there in spirit.
