The wireless transducer microphone I am referring to is one that fits
directly to the flute such as this one from Barcus Berrry.

It is designed for flutes
I have used one designed for Classical guitar, only issue I didn't like is
that it also picks up any other sounds such as tapping on the instrument
body, though this may also be useful to add percussive type sounds to your
music.
