Hi Everyone

I wanted to update you on a couple of things regarding Okuda-san's
visit to the Bay Area.

On Sunday, August 21st there will be an informal gathering/get-together
with Okuda-san at Celadon Fine Teas - 1111 Solano Ave, Albany, CA 94706
(510) 524-1696.This gathering will also incorporate the informal
opening of a Zen calligraphy exhibit by famed artist Ronald Nakasone.
If you are in the area, come and drop by!

Tuesday, August 23rd, Okuda-san will perform at Celadon Fine Teas in
what is titled A Celebration of Japanese Music, Tea and Calligraphy.
The concert will begin at 7:00pm. Advanced tickets are highly
recommended as it is expected to sell out. The price of the concert is
$20 and includes tastings of highest quality Japanese teas (gyokuro,
sencha, etc) as well as delicious handmade Japanese tea snacks. Celadon
can fit roughly 45 people so the concert promises to be intimate - a
perfect way to experience the shimmering beauty of Okuda san's jinashi
playing. To reserve tickets, call Celadon at (510) 524-1696

For those not able to make it on the 23rd, Okuda-san will give a
performance on Friday, August 19th at the Berkeley Buddhist Monastery,
2304 McKinley Ave, Berkeley CA 94703. The performance will begin at
8:00pm. Cost is by donation and will help support the monastery.

Lesson times with Okuda are still available. Call (510) 559-9305 if you
want more info or to arrange a lesson.

thanks all!

-Josh
