[Shaku] How the Shakuhachi saved my life

I returned yesterday from 2 months of a life and death journey. On December
7th, I passed out for the the first of what turned out to be 3 times.
Naturally, with my cardiac history, we all assumed the problem to be Heart
related. However, after the 3rd occasion, I found out that I had Multiple
blood -clots in both lungs. I had probably had this condition for the past
year gradually getting worse and worse. They could not stabilize my vital
signs (kidney, lever, etc.), and the Doctors told my wife that they did not
know whether or not I would survive. However, after one week (due to what I
believe was 35 years of playing the Shakuhachi, and having extremely strong
lungs), I made it through. Then I got rid of the blood clots with cumadin (a
blood thinner), and had a "Greenfield filter" inserted in me through a
catheter - so that my body would not make any more blood clots. Now after
another month in a rehabilitation facility, I have returned to my live- a
new man- feeling very spiritual and grateful. I have lost almost 60 lbs. To
date- haven't had any angina pain, and have been exercising every day. I am
joyously on my way back!
