I think this is an excellent idea. Not all list members have the
kinds of connections or email boxes that allow for large files. And
those were pretty large).
The best place for images is, IMHO, on a webpage, with a pointer to
the page in the message.

OTOH (on the other hand), I also love images. Here's an offer. If
you have a shak for sale and have images but no web space, send the
images to me and I will put them on a website and send you the URL.
Then you can advertise your instrument(s) and point folks at the
images on the web.
Who knows, enough images and maybe we'll start a photo gallery :-)
