Hmmm... as more of an psycho-historian (psycho historian?) than a musician,
I find this very interesting. But I think it would also be very interesting
to discuss the reasons for the surgence (as opposed to resurgence) and
history of the shakuhachi in the West...

any comments? As a beneficiary of shakuhachi music, tea ceremony, sushi,
sake and zazen, I find it to be quite interesting to see how we adopt and
modify these Japanese forms.
