Well for some time now I've been promising to move this list to
a mail transport agent that limits posting to the list to subscribers.
That has been done today. In practical terms, it means that the
list address has changed from shakuhachi@weber.ucsd.edu to
shakuhachi@communication.ucsd.edu
I control the machine communication.ucsd.edu so it will be easier to
implement features for subscribers.
Another advantage is that the list will now be available on a digest
basis (which means that you can request to get all the messages
sent to the list sent to you once a month).
Mail sent to the old address shakuhachi@weber.ucsd.edu will be
forwarded to the new address and mail *SHOULD* not be blocked by the
new mail agent. This message is a test of that "feature" :-)
If you have the shakuhachi mailing list in your addressbook, you
will want to change it (at your convenience, as the forward
mechanism on weber will be maintained for years).
Mail should also continue to go to the archive.
