Are you able to maintain good tone through note bends? I am certainly not a
"seasoned veteran", but from what I hear you saying, my suggestion would be
that you work on a full, complete bend from standard note to the meri,
without any cessation or interruption.
Take the note bends very slow, focusing on your breathing so that you can
sustain a long, full bend, with consistent tone.
