<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV>Hi Everybody.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>When I arrived in Japan just before the Shakuhachi Summit, I went almost straight from the airport to Okuda sensei`s place. There I received great news (at least I think myself it`s great news). He has finally been persuaded to make his first CD. It`s coming out sometime next week. Okuda san has ever since he was a professional jazz trumpetist refused to record as he believes listening to the live sound at that particular moment is the ultimate way of listening. I`m sure he still believes that, but he gave in for the pressure. Okuda sensei is a great ji-nashi/kyotaku/hocchiku player.</DIV>
<DIV>The CD is called Zen no Oto/Sound of Zen and costs 3000 yen including postage. The content is:</DIV>
<DIV>1) Honte no Shirabe (3,1)</DIV>
<DIV>2) Kyoto Myoan, Betsuden Tsuru no Sugomori (2,2)</DIV>
<DIV>3) Shinkyorei (2,8)</DIV>
<DIV>4) Tamuke (2,4)</DIV>
<DIV>5) Koku (3,1)</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>It is an analog recording at Izumi Hall in Nishi Kokubunji in Western Tokyo. Okuda sensei only recorded each piece once, so in one afternoon, he recorded enough music for 6 CDs, but here is anyway the first one.</DIV>
<DIV>If anybody is interested in this CD, you can write to me privately, and I will make sure it will be sent to you and give you infomations on how to pay for the CD.</DIV>
