And speaking of the focus on idiosyncrasy, I have actually have a personal
obsession to make an instrument I have personally cut out of the ground.
Does anyone know of a place where I could do this in the Bay area. Any species
is ok for me. I have tried
bamboo nurseries, but they want too much money. I suppose there might be
someone who
needs their bamboo hedge cut back, or maybe some place that doesn't mind me
taking a few
pieces for a reasonable price. For some reason it never ocured to be to try
here, but perhaps
someone knows. *Does* anyone know where I might do this?
