Personally I have no problem forgiving Gene but my previous ranting was
about whether or not there's a reasonable hope that he'll make some
effort to try and control his impulses; that's my only question about
letting him back in. If there's another conflagration that grows past a
certain stage I'll probably bail on the group, not because I don't
respect the opinions of others but because I just don't have the time or
energy to sift through volumes of impulsive venom to get to the great
stuff that shows up on the list. I may not be being big enough here and
I don't expect anyone to give a hoot whether or not I quit the list but
I think these are legimate questions. There maybe more than enough
policing in the world today but you're never going to escape it if you
intend to interact with anybody but yourself; it can be done consiously
(and hopefuly flexibly) or not.
