<P>Thanks for the contact. Will check it out and maybe try to combine meeting some koto players in London next summer. Will you be around? How is the programme going? Have you decided what to focus on? I've settling into a new teaching job still the summer which is going well and giving me time to practise. ogenki de. mata ne, Philip. <BR><BR></P></DIV>

<DIV></DIV>>Hi Philip.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>I don't know of any shamisen or koto players in Ireland, but there
<DIV></DIV>>are loads in London. The best person to ask would be Michael Coxall
<DIV></DIV>>(shakuhachi player at SOAS), who knows a bunch of koto players, also
<DIV></DIV>>some students or newly graduates from Geidai etc. Michael is a great
<DIV></DIV>>person and shares very happily information, so e-mail him at
<DIV></DIV>>mc9@soas.ac.uk
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Take care,
<DIV></DIV>>Kiku
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>P.S. I posted to the list last week, but it seems not to have got
<DIV></DIV>>through. Someone asked about the version of Koku on Okuda Atsuya's
<DIV></DIV>>CD Sound of Zen. I checked the score, and it only says it is a
<DIV></DIV>>Zensabo version, and I do not recall any particular explanarion of
<DIV></DIV>>Koku's origin from his lessons. Zensabo is Okuda's "school".
