New Grove Dictionary of Music & Musicians, 2nd edition, (Sound article) says:
"...the speed of sound varies with the temperature, humidity and pressure
of the air," so dry days, humid days, at sea level air pressure, or air
pressure atop the Rockies would also effect the pitch.
