[Shaku] Shakuhachi practice & Buddhism

Hi all,

I know the origin of shakuhachi (the instrument & the ancient pieces), yet i
really dunno should we say: "The practice of shakuhachi is equivalent to the
practice of Buddhism"?

if yes, why? if no, why? if half-half... how many % / what aspects of shakuhachi
practice is buddhism?
