  Hey Brian, i think this is everyone's course, to find that better
sound/tone shaku, is a challenge. Some flutes are just harder to play than
other's are, new or old... also, i don't think there are any advantages to a
root-end flute.. You can pick up a newer nice-shaku for 1K. Tj
