The liner notes for one of Watazumi-Do's albums indicate that he played the
other tunes on the mentioned CD himself on other flutes than shakuhachi. I
have "The Mysterious Sound of the Bamboo Flute" CD.
Became interested in hocciku after hearing Watazumi-Do. Have a friend who
has a nice stand of bamboo of the right size and thickness, so, being cheap, I
decided to make my own. After NUMEROUS flops, finally made one that plays OK.
Very soft and sometimes very difficult to play. Sound sometimes just
disappears.
If you understand, things are just as they are, if you don't understand,
things are just as they are.
