I have a simple, honest question which I'd like to ask you regarding your statement (that

Here is my question. If, as you say below, you "do not even admire very much of Japanese
culture," then
why have you chosen, as a vehicle of personal expression, an instrument that represents
the very heart
and soul of Japanese culture?
I am not sure what your issues with Japanese culture are. I am sure they are personal, and
it is not my
wish to pry. But I think, as you explore the intricacies the subtleties of the Shakuhachi,
you may come
to know the intricacies and subtleties that "Japanese culture" has to offer an open-minded
individual.
