Hi Folks,
I'm going to be playing this coming weekend at one of Performance
Works NW's Sunday afternoon (2pm) gatherings.
I'll be presenting about 15 minutes of a new work (still in progress)
for shakuhachi and computer. Mostly it will be bass shakuhachi in
this performance. (a very low vertical end-blown flute)
Anyway, if some of you are curious about what i do musically outside
of gamelan, this is the first of several opps you'll have this spring
to find out.
The second chance will be on Friday, March 18th in the evening. I'll
be playing a set of improvisations with a two very talented young
Portland players, one who is a clarinettist and the other a pianist.
I'll send more information about this gig as I get it. It will be in
Lincoln Hall at PSU, but I'm not sure which room it will be in. I
will post this information when it becomes available.
Ok...enough shameless promotion for this week!
