I agree 100% with Karl. This list used to have some value to serious
shakuhachi students and teachers -- now it has very little. This is not
just my opinion -- many of my students have told me they find it close
to worthless at this point. And needless to say, sensei who get insulted
on a regular basis are not likely to continue offering their wisdom.
Bruce, I admire you for maintaining this list at all, but if it is to
continue existing I think it's time to get a lot more involved as a
moderator, at least temporarily until it gets back on track. Of course I
would not expect anyone to want to take on such a daunting task. The
problem is that without more focus this whole thing is just another
internet trainwreck.
Or maybe there should be another list strictly limited to traditional
shakuhachi announcements, tips, etc.
