[Shaku] Competition time..................

Hi everyone,

As some of you may be aware, a European Shakuhachi
Society is in the making (thanks to Kiku). The first
official meeting will be held at the Pan-European
Summer School, held from 19-22nd July in London
(www.shakuhachisummer-soas.com). This is booking up
fast - don't forget to book your place asap if you
want to come along.

We are also in the process of putting together an ESS
newsletter, to come out quarterly. To this end, we
need a logo and have decided to hold a 'Design a Logo'
competition, open to anyone who'd like to join in.

All entries need to be sent to:

by 30th June 2006 at the latest and the winner will be
announced at the European Shakuhachi Summer School.

The prize will be a year's subscription to the ESS and
a free ESS T-shirt sporting the new logo (as soon as
they are printed!).

We are hoping there will be lots of wonderful entries
- so, if you fancy joining in and have an interest in
design, why not have a go?
