Yamaguchi Shugestu Jinashi Shakuhachi

Yamaguchi Shugestu is one of the foremost makers of traditional=20
shakuhachi based in Nara, Japan. He is well-known for his exceptionally=20=

high quality jiari and jinashi shakuhachi flutes.

Born and living in Nara, Japan, Yamaguchi has been making shakuhachi=20
for over 25 years. He trained under the reknowned shakuhachi master=20
craftsman, Tamai Chikusen for 7 years before embarking on his own=20
career. Yamaguchi makes all styles of shakuhachi (Tozan, Kinko, Meian)=20=

but specializes in extremely responsive and dynamic "Shugetsu" jinashi=20=

chokan shakuhachi (2.0-3.6 sizes) see selection below. These flutes are=20=

prime honkyoku instruments. He has a busy schedule with many back=20

Shakuhachi by Taro Miura

Taro Miura has been crafting shakuhachi for over 30 years in the city=20
of Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. In addition to being a Kyudo (Japanese=20
Archery) master (6 Dan in the All Nippon Kyudo Federation), he also=20
holds high level in the art of tanka poetry.
