G'day all;

I'm a beginner trying to find the definitive book on the philosophy and
meditative methods of blowing zen.

If occurs that, if Suzuki wrote (arguably) the definitive Zen primer in
Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind, someone may have written a similar definitive
primer on blowing zen.

I have lots of info on shakuhachi history, Fuke sect history, and a
few good how-to-play manuals but almost nothing on Zen in the art of
the shakuhachi.

MaryLu Bradywein has written some lovely essays I've found online,
but still I'm searching for the definitive "Zen in the art." book.

I did pose this question to Monty Levenson who is, I think, still
rummaging through the library.

Any ideas?

Best Regards,
