Just want to chime in here. Shakuhachi is not grassroots. And people are
called on constantly to do things gratis - I work in online stuff, and I
almost never get paid. This isn't 'what's wrong with today's world,'
whatever - you're lucky to get a chance to work with world-class people.
Possibly what's wrong is that you want it all for free.
