Thanks, Peter, for this gentle, sane and helpful post. I have a question
that has puzzled me recently as a beginning student: if I play in the high
register solely (as I have now for several weeks), I develop good resonance,
timber and 'suppleness'. But if I drop back down into the low register for
even just a little while I seem to lose my high register control, and the
tone, especially on ro just above ri, is harsh, like a bad whistle. Is there
a quick and easy fix for this?
