Hi Steve,

         Riley Lee has used some of David Brown's
flutes in concert . In certain climate conditions
(hot and dry, like in much of Australia) they have
some advantages over bamboo -- less chance of
splitting or cracking. David's been making them a
long time, probably as long as Monty's been making
flutes in California so I imagine that he's turning
out some decent instruments.
